VOICE MAGAZINE offers news and views on art, culture and politics by and for young people. Voice is Youth Media Partner at Brighton Fringe, runs a Young Reviewers Residency at Edinburgh Fringe and sends young reviewers to cover the arts far and wide.
We are currently running ‘Voice Outreach’ across the midlands – local projects funded by Arts Council England to train young arts reviewers.
YOUNG ARTS PROFESSIONALS Our network of young creatives can handle projects in documentation, journalism and social media. Check out members of the network presenting for Arts Award Off the Shelf or interviewing major artists like Akram Khan or Lucy Spraggan.
Let us know your needs and we’ll look for the right person.
CONSULTATION AND RESEARCH Our reach to young people and understanding of their voice means we are ideally placed to consult on a wide range of topics. Recent commissioned projects include consulting 18-25 year olds about their career advice for the Creative & Cultural Skills Council, and surveying nearly 4,000 young people about how they learn music for Trinity College London.
TRAINING FOR ARTS ORGANISATIONS We can help you refresh your work with young people and develop young people’s voice in your organisation. We provide consultancy to develop in-house programmes, and deliver some public programmes. Do check out our Youth Voice Training offer.
ARTS AWARD VOICE COMMUNITY links and supports young people doing Arts Award and keeps in touch with them after they finish. Our growing Alumni network ensures support after the award whilst our highly popular hubs on Voice provide all the support & information young people need to complete their awards as a complement to their advisers.
ARTS AWARD DISCOVER CLUB offers family activities at festivals, run by young arts leaders. We have worked with UK festivals large and small to develop a drop-in club which enables children to complete an Arts Award Discover by taking part in on site activities.
